There is a bit of frenzy in spring gardening.
Spring has a young, hurryup feel to it. We are eager to get our winter-weary bones out into the sun and get our hands in the fresh soil.
But spring has its limits. Here in Northern Virginia, its limit is usually late May. Soon after, the summer heat comes and the slog of humidity follows.
