Rappahannock County to meet with the people they invited. These included members of RLEP, the Rappahannock County Conservation Alliance, the Amissville Area Community Association, and the Rappahannock County Historic Society. We told Sprint why we didn’t like their original plan. We urged them to look for alternative sites that would make their towers less visible and avoid the most scenic and historic places. We did not select any of the sites in the current Sprint application. Sprint chose all the sites now being considered.
At no time did we pretend to speak for anyone but our members. At no time did we “sign off” on the revised Sprint plan. In fact, at the final meeting with Sprint officials on June 1 this year, Sprint had not decided on the location or design of the tower near the Tbwn of Washington (now known as the Miller silo) nor had it decided on the height or design of the Rose Hill facility near Massie’s Comer.
