Roll out half the dough to fit into the bottom of a 15 1/2-inch greased and floured jelly roll pan. Place into the pan and sprinkle with the cereal flakes, then spoon the apple mixture on top.

Roll out the remaining dough and cover the apples. Seal the edges by pinching them together, then brush with a little milk.

Bake for one hour at 400 degrees. Cool.

While the pastry is still slightly warm, combine the powdered sugar, water and vanilla, and spread over the pastry.

Can be enjoyed warm or cold.

Makes about 20 servings.
