in aappanannocK County, Virginia, we sit between the 39th and 38th parallel, putting us on the same equatorial latitude as northern Japan, Korea and China; Turkey; Greece; Calabria, Italy; southern Spain and Portugal; and Sacramento, Calff.
While our micro-climates differ due to variables independent of global parallel, our macro-climate of sun and daylength ^s the same. Solar energy affects crop growth a bit more than temperature. Our darkest period occurs from around Dec. 7 through Feb. 7.
