The Honorable Donald McEachin, candidate for Attorney General of Virginia, and the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee are inviting all to a Country Social and Town Meeting this Sunday afternoon, Oct. 14, at 4 p.m. at the Washington Fire Hall in the Town of Washington.
McEachin’s last visit to Rappahannock was on the Fourth of July. An impressively respectful donkey, William, escorted McEachin and a crowd of well-wishing supporters through the Town of Washington as they led the annual Fourth of July parade. McEachin has been looking forward to his return visit.
As an attorney and three-term member of the House of Delegates representing parts of the city of Richmond, suburban Henrico County and rural Charles City County, Donald McEachin has spent his entire legal and legislative career fighting for Virginia’s families. As Attorney General he vows to continue to be the “peoples’ attorney.”
Delegate McEachin’s priorities and record in the General Assembly provide evidence of what he will do for Virginia as Attorney General. As a strong advocate for consumers, he patroned a bill holding HMO’s liable for death or injury when the HMO denied treatment; he sponsored a bill protecting consumers particularly those in low-income groups J)~ from unfair lending practices; he supports and will fight for a strong telemarketing law; and he will revitalize the consumer protection section of the Attorney General’s office.
