It’s like any-^ thing you make today, each cook had their own touch and each would taste different. With this being apple butter making season the Lion’s Club has made theirs this week. It will be on sale at Faith Mountain at Sperryville this weekend, t Oct. 13 and 14. Apple Butter Cookies r 1/2 cup melted butter 3/4 cup sugar 1 egg beaten ‘ 1 cup apple butter 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon allspice .“ 1 teaspoon soda 2 1/2 cups flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup nuts 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg Mix well and drop by tea- ‘ spoons on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees 12 to 15 min-’ utes. Makes four dozen. Mr. and Mrs. Billy f Wayland and Tiffany were?hostess to a cookout and"? hayride on Saturday night.
