Among inose irom tne Flint Hill Church who attended the Annual Charge Conference at the Sperryville United Methodist Church on Sunday evening were Barbara Jamieson, Louise McCulloch, Mabel Lillard, Barbara Gentry, M.H. Brady, Dwight Matthews, Esther Settle and Joy and Merlin Shorb.
The District Superintendent, Clarence Brown presided over the meeting. Barbara Jamieson spoke to the group on prayer. The meeting was very inspirational with approximately 25 to 30 present. Refreshments were served following the meeting.
The Flint Hill Baptist Church will have worship service on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 11 a.m. The pastor Robert Goff will deliver the message. The public is invited.
Mrs. Mabel Lillard hosted a birthday dinner at her home on Sunday in honor of her son, Jimmy who was celebrating his day. ! There were approximately $5 in attendance including Jimmy and his wife, Betty and their families. Also Tommy and Linda Lillard, Jean Lillard and Danny Lillard of Selma, N.C.
Danny Lillard returned to his home on Monday after a visit of several days with his jnother. *. The Flint Hill United Methodist Church has worship service each Sunday at 8:45 a.m. Xhe pastor, the Rev. Merlin Shorb invites the public.
