The October meeting of the Rappahannock County School Board was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance conducted by Wendy Gillis, representing RCHS’ National Honor Society. Chairman Wesley Mills introduced Miss Gillis by stating the importance of the Society and the good character of and the service to the community provided hv its members.
Shortly after the Pledge. Athletic Director Jon Smythe introduced the subject of the wrestling program at the, high school. He noted that the program started last year, and that “fortyfive guys came out." He said that there is not adequate space for the program, and that the community was canvassed, without success, for such space.
