Alexander said KardioKick is not just about sparring, it’s about serious conditioning.
“If you get tired during contact sports you get hurt, you let your guard down,” he said. “My classes are brutally cardio-demanding, to build up that strength.”
Kicking is not the only thing emphasized in his classes. Boxing and becoming light on your feet is a major part of the training.
Who’s in class
He said many of the people in his classes have a multitude of physical ailments.
“I’ve got people who are asthmatics, have back problems, knee problems or old sports injuries. We work around their injuries so they still get a good workout,” he said.
