another prominent English Arts and Crafts figure, architect C.F.A. Voysey (1857-1941), who designed country houses around the turn of the last century. The buttresses, steeply pitched roof, exaggerated eaves and decorative iron work are all signature elements of the Voysey style. t
Dana Wasting, an artist of Marshall, designed the gardens. He is a friend of the owners. His murals cover the walls of the “Monkey Bar” at The Inn at Little Washington, and his own garden was recently featured in the Martha Stewart’s Living magazine.
This unique home is truly one of Rappahannock’s treasures, and a “not to miss” opportunity.
Bill Hopkins is one of the artists in our community who has recorded a song for the newly released CD “Tidal Wave of Song”. This CD has been a vision and project of Paul Reisler and over 600 kids from Rappahannock County. It is performed by over 60 of the county’s professional musicians.
