Aerobic classes planned

Ongoing aerobic classes are held at the Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 8 to 9:30 a.m. For additional information call Beth Levick at 635-6149.

Health programs offered

The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board invites persons 60 years of age and older to participate in the following Health Promotion/Screening Programs to be held at the Rappahannock Senior Nutrition Center:

Oct. 15 at 1 p.m., program on AmeriPlan USA by Rudy Robinson; Oct. 17 at 1 p.m., program on Medication Safety by Cheryll Green of the Health Department; Oct. 25, time to be announced, stroke screening at Washington fire hall and Oct. 31 at 1 p.m. program on Nutrition Awareness by Jane Johnson of the American Cancer Society.

Teaching class offered

The Introduction to Teaching class will be taught starting Monday, Oct. 15 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Early Learning Center in Orange. The class will run each Monday for six weeks. The class is designed for childcare providers, teachers, parents, and anyone interested in learning more about working with children.

The class is a 12-hour training program, which meets the state regulations training requirement for program leaders. For more information or to register call 540-672-4727.

Blue Moon schedule

Yoga with Lilo

Do you want to be more flexible and feel better physically as well as mentally? If so, join “Yoga with Lilo." Turkey shoots planned

For the 15th year, the Jefferson Ruritan Club will again sponsor weekly Turkey Shoots at the Jeffersonton Community Center every Friday night through Dec. 7 beginning at 7 p.m. The Community Center is located at Routes 802 and 621 off Route 229.

These shoots are 12-gauge, light target load, #9 shot. Approximately $3000 worth of beef, turkey and ham prizes will be awarded this year, in addition to cash rounds. For more information call 937-5490 or 937-5363.
