As a result of this Page County taxes have risen 37 percent and will go up again if the pay off is to happen. The Page County Board of Supervisors basically could declare the original deal with Tellurian fraudulent, arbitrary, and capricious and take this to court. No one in Page County sees Page County prevailing if this were to happen.
My proposed solution to this is sending a person independent of the landfill deal to Richmond to represent Page County. This issue is much more environmentally critical to Rappahannock than the cell towers. Towers don’t smell, don’t litter, and don’t create a deadly hazard to people.”
