The second part of the “Series Within a Series” from the Castle Trio will be heard next March. Between the first and last program in this tenth season the Smithsonian at Little Washington will present, in November, another concert in its “Brilliance of the Baroque” series, and, next February, Die Winterreise by Franz Schubert.
The renowned Castle Trio comprises Grammy-award-winning pianist Lambert Orkis, cellist Kenneth Slowik and violinist Marilyn McDonald. As soloists and in chamber music ensembles, each of the three has recorded extensively and toured both nationally and internationally.
Tickets for the concert by the Castle Trio on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 8 p.m. are $15 for adults and $5 for students 18 years and under.
