None of the children could quite remember the purpose of the walk; they did know they were having a great time.
At Sky Meadows Park on Sept. 15, the La Leche League of Marshall sponsored a local leg of the World Walk For Breast-feeding. The event was accompanied by crafts for the kids, a barbecue dinner and a silent auction.
“I like the crafts,” said Christina Czekalski, 9. Her mother Karen, brought her four children, from 9 years to 3 months old, on the walk. She was there to support breastfeeding in a culture that “sees the bottle as the norm.”
