Each wildlife species has specific needs as far as territory or amount of space to roam in and to breed. Different wildlife needs different combinations of elements.
A variety of habitat allows us to see many different species of wildlife. What we see is influenced greatly by the time of year.
Animals and birds search for habitat that will most suit their needs at certain times. It is their search for this habitat that allows us to view wildlife we would not ordinarily see.
Whitetail Deer traveling from their bedding area to a food plot might require the deer to cross roadways.
Cottontail Rabbits can, at times, be seen nibbling tender sprouts growing on the shoulders of the road. Seeing rabbits along the road is more likely as fall approaches. By this time of year a female rabbit has had at least seven litters of four to five young.
