• Many thanks to the Committee, Volunteers Mr. Peter Kreyling, Mr. Tom Taylor and Margaret Gottlieb, and RCHS teacher Mr. Mick Strand, for devoting many hours to this very rewarding task. This writer is privileged to serve on the Mini-Grant Committee as well, and considers it a great pleasure.

• Many thanks to RCHS Parent Mrs. Kathryn Treanor for arranging for Shenandoah Conservatory students to give private music lessons at RCHS. Fourteen instrumentalists in our Band program have signed up for lessons. What a wonderful opportunity for these motivated students!

• The RCHS Band will march in the Festival of Leaves Parade in Front Royal on Saturday, Oct. 13. If you are able to attend, please cheer loudly for these great students and show your Panther Pride!

• The Amissville Fall Festival will also be held on Oct. 13 at the Amissville Carnival grounds. RCES parent Mr. Jeff Light will be the MC for the event, singing, chatting and lifting everyone’s spirits throughout the day. There will be “Tidal Wave” CD’S for sale (and for your listening pleasure) at the festival as well.
