in this country to think, speak, and write as we please, and to me there is a great joy in that. If I occasionally offend, so be it.
Believe me, I am occasionally offended. But if by our words we create a dialogue, if we move people to react, if we exercise our talents to debate and if we open our minds to other viewpoints then we learn and we grow intellectually and spiritually. This blessing of freedom is precious. I think by using it, we are exercising a fine brand of patriotism.
