In a recent letter to the editor,
Ed Olmstead bemoaned the fact that “Ben Jones has had the Rappahannock News to himself while there has been little or no news about his opponent.
Ed, there’s a good reason for that: Ben has something to say; his opponent has nothing to say. Ben gives us his own and honest opinions; his opponent is speechless except for party-generated pap and news releases.
You may agree or disagree with Ben, but he calls the issues as he sees them, and not as the party spin doctors in Washington dictate. Ben’s opinions come from his love, care, and concern for the people of Rappahannock County, Virginia, and the United States; his opponent’s opinions are regurgitations of the party line.
