Oasis Winery to
sponsor fall event
Oasis Winery will sponsor a “Fall Sunday” featuring casino, wine and a pumpkin carving contest on Sunday,Oct. 13 from 1 to 10 p.m. All proceeds benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and children with bloodrelated cancers.
The casino tables will open at 1 p.m. Visiting Disney character, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty will be on hand to entertain the children from 2 to 5 p.m. Children will also be invited to choose a pumpkin from Oasis’ pumpkin patch and compete in the annual pumpkin contest. Winners will receive tickets to a Wolf Trap performance of their choice with stretch limousine transportation. Contestants will also be allowed to take your pumpkin home in time for Halloween decorating. Judging will be held at 5 p.m.
There will be live music from 1 to 5 p.m. and DJ dancing from 5 to 10 p.m. There will be an Oasis Winery tour at 3 p.m. For additional information call Oasis at 635-3103.
