riday s soccer game against Fredericksburg Christian Academy was humbling, but awesome. Players for WCDS struggled, as several key students were on the injured list.
Watching the other team was inspiring, though. Their team played well, with several incredible plays by different members. You have to give them credit; great manners, great sportsmanship, and well-executed formations. Thanks, F.C.A.!
• Kevin Riedel and Patrick Dale, eighth graders at WCDS, are moving steadily up the scoreboard as runners for the school’s Cross Country team. Although the team is smaller this year, we have several runners who are making their mark, placing in the top 20+ runners in the regional meets. Cross Country is one of those “unsung hero” sports; it’s hard to watch, because as soon as they take off, they leave you!
