A workshop, Growing Fall and Winter Greens in Unheated Structures will be offered Sunday, Oct. 13 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Extending the growing season for leafy greens is the focus of this informative and popular garden workshop, given by Donna LaPre.

Using unheated low tunnels, cold frames and hoophouses. it is possible to harvest salad greens, kale, carrots and other vegetables from October through April. Registration is required. For information call 675-2365 or e-mail dopray@earthlink.net.

Opm studio every Sunday

An open studio will be held every Sunday from Oct. 20 through Dec. 15 with the exception of Thanksgiving weekend at Flickinger Studios, located behind Glassworks Gallery in Sperryville. Open drawing will be held from 10 a m to 1 p.m. and open sculpting from 2 to 5 p.m. For more information call 9879500.

Clinic will be open Oct. 16

The Rappahannock Free Clinic, a local operation of the Fauquier Free Clinic Inc., is currently open on the first, third and fifth Wednesdays of each month. The clinic will be open Wednesday, Oct. 16 and not again until Oct. 30. Patient registration is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Public Health Department Building. Events at CRH planned

The following events are organized through Culpeper Regional Hospital.

Oct. 10: Depression Screening Day. Pinebrooke Psychiatric Center offers a one-day, free-of-charge screening day. Screening will be done in the Family Birth Center Classroom at the hospital, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. from 3 to 5 p.m.

Oct. 15: Drug & Vitamin. Herb Interactions, learn about some of the common vitamin and herbal supplement interactions with drugs in this one-hour, tree session at Culpeper Regional Hospital from 6 to 7 p.m. Call 829-4190 to register.

Oct. 16: Mommy & Me, this free class will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Family Birth Center at CRH. To reserve space, call 829-4114.
