The Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company will be having their open house on Oct. 19 from 10 a m. to 2 p.m. The RCHS Band will be playing at 1 p.m., the INOVA Aircare helicopter will be landing, and the Department of Forestry will be on site.
They will have 50th Anniversary T-shirts, the anniversary book will be available and they will be doing blood pressure checks. For more information contact J B Carter at 937-4218.
The Country Kids Playgroup has resumed at the Amissville Baptist Church. New families are welcome to join in the fun. The playgroup is a non-profit group for parents/caregivers and children ages infant to five years old.
The group meets every Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon. Toys, crafts and activities are highlights of each week. Call Kim Whitham at 341-7488 for more information or directions.
