Youth to conduct service The youth group of the Sperryville United Methodist Church will conduct the service on Sunday, Oct. 13 beginning at 11:15 a.m. A warm invitation is extended to the public to attend and a potluck luncheon will follow the service.

Workshop conference set The Ministers and Deacons Union, in cooperation with the Young Adult Ministry of the Wayland Blue Ridge Association, Inc. will host the second Deacons and Deaconess Workshop and Leadership Conference on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 8:45 a.m. at the Wayland Blue Ridge Center in Rixeyville. Instruction will be led by the National Baptist Deacons Convention and Wayland Blue Ridge staff. Cost is $20 per person and includes lunch. Early registration must be complete by Oct. 15.
