Troop. This entails planning for all meetings, outings, fund raisers and public service events. To help them in this endeavor, the following appointments were made: Dorian Matthews as Troop Guide, Robbie Hamill-Huff as Troop Quartermaster, Gavin Forrest as Troop Scribe, and Charles Crawford as Troop Librarian.
Andrew and Josh then presided over the presentation of the 55 merit badges members of the Troop have earned since the last Court of Honor. These badges covered subject areas from Archery to Woodcarving and provide some of the incentive for learning in “the outdoor classroom”.
Next, Buster Brown and Joseph Ordile along with their parents were recognized for earning Second Class Scout rank. In the process they have learned to find their way with a map and compass, to provide meals for themselves and others, and to become comfortable in the natural world around them. They have also learned some of the ideals of good citizenship and service to their community.
