When it comes to the American Conservative Union, I can put the dictionary away, for as their name implies, they are unabashedly conservative. Now as to Harry Caray, I don’t have to look that name up either. While he certainly did not invent or originate the term “Holy Cow,” it was a favorite of his, and to this day, if you would like to purchase a “Holy Cow” tee-shirt from his restaurant gift shop in Chicago—it is item #2005 and will cost $15.95. Just call 773HOLY COW.
Last but not least, after rereading my letter of Sept. 26,1 still cannot find where I “cried I was being slandered.” No one, to the best of my knowledge, has slandered me. Maybe some good “old fashioned” political disagreements, but slandered? What ever happened to the First Amendment of the Constitution? Anyhow, thanks again for this opportunity to respond to those who took the time and effort to respond to my letters.
By the way, all of you are invited to a Eric Cantor for Congress bumper sticker and poster making party. Bring your paper, magic markers, and crayons. I’ll continue to try to find Mr. Cantor and we’ll order some food from that old Chinese dinner menu I have up on the shelf next to my dictionary.
