Linn Barnes and Allison Hampton return to the Theatre at Washington on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. for their sixth concert of Celtic music here in as many years. This year their performance is titled “The Mist Covered Mountains,” and is described as “an evening of Celtic and American Music from the mountains of County Kerry, Ireland, to the Blue Ridge of Virginia.”
The well known musicians are multi-instrumentalists who play Irish harp, steel-string guitar, mandolin, banjo, and uilleann pipes. They play not only music from the Celtic countries but also from the American folk tradition, including several works for duo steel string guitar.
