is shrinking, with technology, communication and innovation bringing all cultures closer together. After the Sept. 11 trauma to our country, we hope that the Global Spotlights programs during the next six months will help Rappahannock students and citizens have a more informed picture of some of the differences and similarities that bind all of humanity together in a common goal of world peace.

The Global Spotlights program will culminate in a spring festival featuring exhibits and cultural activities representing those countries highlighted during the year. This community festival will be held on Sunday afternoon, April 27, 2003. Details will be forthcoming with time, place, exhibits, and activities.

We invite anyone who has experience in other cultures around the world and is interested in participating in the Global Spotlights program or anyone who has general questions to call committee cochairs Linda Dietel at 6753826, Monira Rifaat at 9878613 or Martie Henze at 9374311 for more information.
