Mrs. Esther Racer Leonard, formerly of Rappahannock, and resides in Arlington celebrated her birthday on Monday, Oct. 7.

Mrs. Leonard has been in the Woodbine Nursing Home in Alexandria but last week was put in Alexandria Hospital for a few days. When leaving the hospital Mrs. Leonard will go back to the Woodbine Nursing Home. She will still love to hear from family and friends.

Mrs. Leonard’s husband, Jimmy celebrates his birthday on Thursday, Oct. 10. Happy birthday to both.

The Washington Baptist Church will host its annual homecoming service on Sunday, Oct. 20. ’The day will begin with a service at Mt. Salem Baptist Church at 10 followed by the morning worship at Washington Baptist at 11. A luncheon will follow the morning service.
