• Are you CPR certified? It is definitely worth the effort, especially if you work with children. We are fortunate to have several faculty members in the public schools that have taken it upon themselves (on their own time) to get the necessary training.
The latest group of staff members who realized the importance of this certification and took the time to complete the requirements are: Edie Clark, Nancy Crawford, Mary Ann Frazier, Patricia Hottinger, Mark Matney, Jackie Settle. Sheila Smith, Linda Torrance, and Margaret Wiese.
Training was provided by Geraldine Payne < RCES Second Grade teacher) and Christopher Payne, both from the Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad. We are very fortunate to have so many people on our facility with this special knowledge, and they are to be commended. Congratulations!
• On Monday, March 11, 6th and 7th Grade students were treated to a Theatre IV production that focused on Violence Prevention. The next production for those grade levels, “Harriette Tubman and the Underground Railroad”, will be presented on Monday, April 8.
