The Packing Shed Gallery of Washington is presenting Maryland Institute, College of Art teachers Timothy App, James Hennessey and Sharon Yates in an exhibition “3 Maryland Painters” from March 30 through May 4.
An artist reception will be held Saturday, April 6 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the gallery on the corner of Gay and Porter Streets.
Gallery hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 12 to 6 p.m. For more information call the gallery at 675-3410.

streams, RLEP
to sponsor event
. Are they clean? Are they fetter than before? What ■determines a “dirty” river? On Sunday, April 7 at 2 p.m, RLEP is sponsoring a demonstration, by Janet Davis, a certified stream/water monitor, of the quality of Rappahannock’s streams, rivers and creeks.
