would not be able to perform as a full band (with complete instrumentation) and there could be no concerts, competitions, etc.
One solution that has been proposed is to have the 4x4 with band and another elective class on alternating days. This will allow band students to take band the entire year thus keeping continuity within the band and allowing for concerts and other band events to continue as usual.
The band has a very dedicated band director and is continuing to grow and improve each year. Parents need to let the school board know that the band is an important part of the school and they wish it to continue without jeopardizing the program. Call or write your school board member and let them know how you feel on this matter.
