Frances Putnam Gilbert Bendix, 75, of Front Royal died Tuesday, March 12 at Warren Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal by the Rev. John Farrar and Pastor Robert Goff. Burial was in Old Leeds Cemetery in Fauquier County.
Mrs. Bendix was born Sept. 7, 1926 in Hume, daughter of the late John William and Claudia Kines Putnam.
She retired from the ASCS office in Warrenton and as bookkeeper for the American Legion in Front Royal.
She was a member of the Flint Hill Baptist Church, Lioness Club and Ladies Auxiliary of the Giles B. Cook Post 53 of American Legion.
Surviving are a daughter, Catherine Moock of Ludowici, Ga.; a sister, Gaynell Russell of Flint Hill and a grandson.
