One tip? Save the tubes from holiday wrapping paper and wrap the strings of lights around the tube. A small slit on the ends of the tube makes room to stick the plug.

Did you clean screens before you put them to bed for the winter? Cleaning window screens and screen doors is one of the most hated household chores.
Try taking the screens outside and filling a bucket with warm water, two tablespoons of dish-washing liquid and one-quarter cup of ammonia. Scrub the screens and then rinse clean.
