Pottery classes forming
Beginning and advanced throwing and beginning hand building pottery classes are now forming at Sperryville Pottery. Beg nning throwing class dates are Mondays 9 to 11 a.m., begins April 15; Thursdays 9 to 11 a.m.. begins April 18; Thursdays 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., begins April 18 and Saturdays 8 to 10 a.m., begins April 20. Cost for class is $199 which includes clay, glazes and firing. For additional information or to sign up call Suzanne Zylonis at 987-1000.
Shooting Education Club to meet
The Rappahannock 4-H Shooting Education Club meets every Wednesday in Amissville under the adult volunteer leadership of Stan Dye. This club is open to youth ages 9-19 years of age. If you are interested in joining please call Stan at 9375698 or the Extension Office at 675-3619.
Lions set May 4 for auction
The annual Rappahannock Lions Auction will be held on Saturday. May 4 at the Washington Fire Hall. Please start thinking about those treasures that you would like to find a new home! The Lions can begin receiving items now for storage should you like the items to be picked up. The above committee members will help coordinate pick ups and advise on the types of items that can be used for the auction. 1
Democrats to meet April 2
The April meeting of the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee will be on Tuesday, April 2 at the Rappahannock Library, starting at 7:30 p.m. The focus will be on Ben Jones' Congressional campaign, fundraising plans, and updates from committees.
The Committee meets at 7:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month at the Library. Refreshments and lively conversation follow every meeting and all are always warmly welcomed.
