Project, which produced the CD “Tidal Wave of Song,” took place in Rappahannock County during a school songwriting residency in which Mr. Reisler wrote over 50 songs with over 600 Rappahannock school children. The album was recorded by the professional musicians and bands of the county including Everything, Day Care Swindlers, Col. John Bourgeois, Paul Reisler, Diane Bardwell, and Cooter’s Garage Band.

Other communities have expressed interest in replicating the project, and Mr. Reisler is scheduled to do songwriting residencies in schools in Warren County, Floyd, Vienna, Pocatello, Idaho and Nashville. Tenn.

Once a cadre of songwriters are trained to follow Mr. Reisler’s methodology', the project will be made available to more communities.

The first songwriter training workshop will be held at Ki Theatre July 20-24, 2002. For more information on the project call 987-3322 or visit w'ww.kidpanalley.org.
