The Amissville United Methodist Church has set their Easter activities as follows: Palm Sunday service at 11. a.m., Maundy Thursday service at 7:30 p.m., Good Friday Tenebrae service at 7:30 p.m., Easter Saturday egg hunt at 2 p.m. All are invited and have the children bring a basket.
Easter Sunrise service will be held at 5:45 a.m. at the Amissville United Methodist Church and Easter morning service at 11. If you need information call Pastor Kay at 937-4397. If you would like to donate plastic or colored eggs bring them to the church at 10 a.m. on Friday.
The Amissville Baptist Church has also set their times: Palm Sunday service an Easter cantata at 11 a.m., Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m., Good Friday Prayer Vigil at 5:30 p.m., Easter Sunrise service at Red Oak Mountain at 6 a.m., Easter morning service at 11. For more information, 937-6159.
On March 13 the committee to bring football to RCES and RCHS had a fantastic turn out to hear Mr. Jon Smythe’s presentation. We are so close to our goal. If you would like to sponsor a child to play football, the cost is $300 per child. Please make checks payable to RCSSA Football Fund or you can contact, Linda Tbrrance. Jim Oyster, Steven Day, Amy Hitt or Jon Smythe.
There are also children with Sponsor packets that will be asking for your support. Please help our children have the opportunity to play football, cheerleading and marching band. Having football at our school can be a positive effect on several activities, including track.
