With my gardening problems seemingly behind me, I’m trying something really different this year.
As chronicled in this space before, for years and years I suffered through mole and vole problems. They made my gardening exercises futile. Three years ago, they were killing plants left and right, up to, and including, my rose bushes!
But now — three cats later — they’re on the run so much you’d think they were the Taliban. My girls have whipped them in every engagement and taken no prisoners.
(One day they left an interesting casualty on our deck. This mole was at least 6 inches long with paws like trowels. Just think of the damage that my girls prevented!)
