Our View
Spring in
Rappahannock
pring officially arrived this week and our
thoughts immediately turn to all the upcoming
activities in the County. We encourage you to be a part of these events as we celebrate another springtime. There's not enough space in this column to mention them all but we will give reminders of a few and still mention that there's the Old Dominion Point-toPoint Races, Earth Day, DARE Day, Volunteers Recognition Afternoon at RCES, Fire and Rescue activities and the list goes on.
Spring Sports
We encourage parents and friends to attend a home sports game and see first hand how excited our children are to be a part of spring sports.
Lots of "behind the scene" work goes into a program such as ours and we all need to say thanks to those responsible.
Fodderstack : County residents are getting excited about the 24th annual upcoming 10K race scheduled this year for Saturday, April 20. Get prepared to walk it, run it or just be a part in some way. It's always the official beginning (according to county officials) of springtime in Rappahannock.
Relay For Life
This year's Relay for Life is slated for May 17 and 18 on the grounds of the Rappahannock Elementary School and promises to be the best yet. Many team captains are organizing early and planning special events. Be a part of one of the greatest weekends in Rappahannock. We encourage you to join a team this Iweek, if not, then at least make a donation. ! And last.Spring Break i v , Rappahannock County Public Schools will be lobserving Spring Break for the next couple of weeks. ‘Children will go to school on Monday, March 25 and |not return until April 8.
