The home Falcons scored the winning run in their half of the 8th, but it was an exciting contest for both squads. After the game Coach Joe Lisbon reflected, “Well be OK. I saw some positive things and we’ll iron out the rest.”
The varsity hosted their “Kindred-School” softball counterparts from Carlisle, Pa. The Pennsylvania girls showed up Friday, the 15th, and spent the night with the Lady Panthers as hosts. Lots of fun was had by both teams as they spent the pre-game evening in a series of friendly activities and games that served to build team spirit and morale.
On Saturday morning the two teams played an 8-inning game at the Lady Panther home field behind the elementary school. The Rapp side fell behind 1 to 0 in the third, but turned up the heat and went on to win by the final score of 10 to 2.
