There were already 201 runner/ walkers registered for the race on Saturday morning. Perhaps the clear blue sky and warm temperatures brought out a record number - 110 - of additional registrants for this increasingly popular race. With over 300 registered, 290 took off from the starting point in Flint Hill. Not all were able to complete the race but many crossed the finish line in Washington to a cheering crowd.
The crowd pleaser was the youngest participant, Skylar Culbertson, an adorable four-year, old from Amissville. Skylar placed third in the 12 and under age group coming completing the race in 1 hour and 52 minutes. Eighty-one year old Bob Atkins from Winchester was the youngest senior running on Saturday.
