What a beautiful weekend we had!

So much was going on in the Town of Washington.

The 29th Annual Fodderstack 10-K race took place on Saturday with a record turnout. This is one of Rappahannock County’s most hallowed traditions each year.

The Fodderstack race has become a high point in the local calendar of events. Both longtime local runners, Rappahannock week-enders and the odd dedicated runner travels to Rappahannock for what is often the first great day of Spring.

Rappahannock County High School hosted a community memorial service to celebrate Emily’s life on Saturday, April 22.

People were out in their yards planting flowers.

This was a day of fun for everyone.

A Gospel Sing has been planned for the family and the community on Saturday, May 5 in support for the Relay for Life Team. Those that will be participating in this year’s program will be the Men’s Chorus from Promise Land Baptist Church, The Shead Family Singers and the Stone Ridge Band.
