Does anyone know the story of that wonderful, hand built stone retaining wall op Water Street, near the bridge, or behind Shaw’s? The Historical Society did not have information in their files. A photo in one of their publications shows the river bank (with swinging foot bridge) prior to the wall. Rudy Frye, Aileen Johnson and Randolph Clayter do not know the history of the wall.
