Rappahannock Extension Office invites each of you to attend an In-orchard meeting scheduled to be held at Sunnyside Organic Orchard, Gustavo Diaz, Washington at 11 a.m. for a tour of the orchard, followed by a discussion of current insect and disease control recommendations, and other orchard management practices. Sunnyside Farms is located in “Harris Hollow” from Washington, Va. west on Rt. 622 for 1.5 miles, then right onto Rt. 624 for about 1 mile. Call the Extension Office at 540-675-3619 to register for this program or for information. After the orchard tour you will have a bagged lunch, bring your own, drinks will be furnished by the host orchardist. You will adjourn around 1 p.m.

Networking luncheon
The Rappahannock Nonprofit Center will host the Nonprofit Networking Luncheon on Wednesday, May 2 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. This luncheon series is to provide nonprofits an opportunity to network, discuss concerns and issues they are facing, and to share information and resources they have found to be helpful. Come and join us at our new office space at 12018 B Lee Highway, below Antique Tables Made Daily, at the Sperryvilfe Schoolhouse property. If you know you’re coming, please let us know in advance at 987-8011. If you don't know in advance, then come anyway!
May 4: Culpeper Fiesta
The Hispanic Committee of Culpeper win host Culpeper Fiesta at the downtown train depot on Friday, May 4 from 6-10 p. m. Thanks to Los Inmigrantes, our local Mexican band and DJ Woody, our local DJ of Latin music. There will be a variety of foods from different Latin countries for purchase, guaranteed to be the real thing! The Fiesta will be a great day for children! There will be piftatas, games, face-painting, stories, lasso trials, seeds to plant, and other activities. Families in Culpeper and the surrounding area should keep the date open and plan to visit and participate in Culpeper Fiesta. Bring your own chair and enjoy the evening! It is the first of marry downtown Culpeper parties this summer. No admission. Fun for the entire family with activities for children, lots of food and music.
