The Fodderstack has become a popular event for entire families and running groups like The Scrabble Scramblers organized by Dave Gillis which included runners bom Rappahannock County and Fredericksburg. Dr. Mervyn Jeffries and his large family sported their own T-shirts appropriately labeled “Team Jeffries.” Three members of the Jeffries family ended up placing with two, Terry and Mervyn gamering first places in their age groups. Members of Rappahannock’s track and cross country ran as well with Alex Ramey taking a first place in the 12-18 age group. Ramey took home the Eva Smith Memorial Award as well which is given to the first male and female Rappahannock resident to cross the finish line. Susannah McNear was the female recipient of this year's Eva Smith Memorial Award coming in at 47:33 in the 30-34 age group.
