The 25 percent of the value of the cellphones that Phones For Life collects over the course of the year to aid domestic violence and senior citizens will be donated to this scholarship and awarded to one or more deserving high school seniors. “ The more phones that we are able to collect, the more scholarships that we can give out” said Dr. L’Archeveque. Each scholarship will be for $5,000 and will be in the names of the victims of this terrible tragedy. The scholarships will be awarded based on criteria that will be discussed with University and Phones For Life will start accepting applications through their website starting June 1,2007.
