system and therefore don’t feel you should be paying for it, let me ask: Is the future not a worthwhile investment? Where do you think your doctors, firefighters, engineers, pilots and, God help us, lawyers and politicians, are going to come from? Are the numbers in private schools enough to fulfill all future requirements?
I don’t agree 100 percent with the school budget and certainly have things I would like to see cut (and others that I would like to see better funded), but I do know that a tremendous amount of work goes into trying to present a budget that is cut pretty close to the bone while still providing an adequate education.
Before you complain about the budget, may I respectfully suggest that you:
