gency, and most of the Fidlers were back this year.

Another new family group this year Was the Ward family from Jeffersonton who came with six members strong thanks to the encouragement of Rappahannock county clerk Diane Bruce.

Lowell Owsley from Jeffersonton brought his family.

Many thanks are extended this year to Mike Shotten of Roxy Graphics who generously donated his time to create a website for the event.

For the first time the race committee decided to honor a family who had dedicated themselves to our 10-K race. The Parrish/Strange family have consistently competed - one year bringing 15 family members from Richmond, Va. and Mill River, Mass, to run the course. Mrs. Quita Parrish was there encouraging her group on. We therefore wanted to honor Ike and Quita Parrish for producing such an excellent group of competitors not only with their four children but also with their grandchildren. Donna Sheffield created the plate for this award.

It looks like well have plenty of families competing for the Ike and Quita Parrish family Memorial Award in the future.
