There is an online listserv that distributes e-mail messages locally from people looking to give away things they no longer need and people looking for things for free. There are groups serving most of the surrounding counties here. I'm on the distribution list for both Fauquier and Culpeper counties. To find one of them go to http://www.free cycle.org

And, in local Amissville news, Gray Ghost has been at it again! They’ve won a slew of awards at another major wine competition. They recently competed at the Jerry Mead New World International Wine Competition in California. Their 2006 Adieu was awarded “Best of Class” and Gold! Their 2005 Reserve Chardonnay won Silver and the 2006 Gewurztraminer and 2006Vidal Blanc won bronze. Congratulations to Gray Ghost!
