I did not have the pleasure of personally meeting and knowing the vivacious young lady, Emily Jane Hilscher. I had seen her several times but had no name for those soulful bright eyes until this past week.
The stories recounted to me about this young lady and the presence she commanded were even more evident in the moving words expressed at her memorial service this past Saturday. The moments and times shared by her father, mother, and sister allowed us to experience Emily firsthand, her love of life, and “how” she lived her life as Emily Jane Hilscher.
One life can affect so many in innumerable and lasting ways. Therefore, in honor and memory of this young life well-lived, I give you the following.
