Washington Mayor Stew Willit opened the September meeting of thf Town Council by issuing a request foi walk-outs Steve Critzer and Charlie Tompkins to return to active partici pation in the Council or to resigr their positions. As reported a numbei of times in the Rappahannock News Mr. Critzer walked out in April aftei a negative Council vote on the acqui sition of land that might have beer used for a Town septic treatment sys tern, and Mr. Tompkins walked out ir July after the Council voted to dis solve the Wastewater Studj Committee that he had chaired.
